The first internationals return

Pep Guardiola has begun to see some of his first team squad return from international duty as four were back in training on Wednesday afternoon.


The Blaugrana boss is waiting to have all his players back to begin preparations for the visit of Racing Santander at the weekend Gerard Piqué, Pedro, Seydou Keita and Touré Yaya all returned with the two Spanish Under-21 players having helped the team to a 2-0 victory over Russia.

entrenament100908_x6x.jpgTraining took place on Wednesday afternoon on the pitch in front of La Masia with 17 players present, ten first team regulars and seven from Barça Atlètic. The quartet that came back from international duty had a relatively calm session as they were in action at the weekend and midweek.

Preparing for Racing

Barça are working on their fitness and tactics for the visit of Racing on Saturday at 8pm after being eliminated from the Copa Catalunya by Sant Andreu on Tuesday.

The next training session for the first team is on Thursday at 6pm (18:00) in the Miniestadi.
