Stroll along the Wisla

Sergi Nogueras

The FC Barcelona players took a walk this morning along the banks of the Wisla, the most important river in the country, which passes through the city of Krakow.

After breakfast, the FC Barcelona players and coaching staff stretched their legs in the area around the hotel as they enjoyed a sunny day in Krakow. The half hour walk took in the banks of the River Wisla (after which the team they face tonight is named) and viewed the Royal Castle of Wawel, an incredible structure dating back 1,000 years and where of old, the kings of Poland were crowned.

As they walked, the players constantly approached by Polish supporters and autograph hunters, and plenty of surprised but camera-happy tourists.

Morning activity

miguel3.jpgPep Guardiola has therefore reintroduced the old system of match day mornings used in previous seasons. In Monday’s press conference, the manager has already said that the team would either have a light training session or otherwise go out for a walk, and he eventually opted for the latter.
