Physical training session in the Mini

The squad have carried out the first of a double training session this Saturday morning with Marquez rejoining the group.

Barça returned to work early this morning after their day’s rest yesterday. Training began at 9.30 in the Miniestadi for the first of a double session. Returning to the squad was Rafa Marquez who missed Thursday’s session, which coincided with his return from international duty with Mexico. With Marquez back, Pep Guardiola had a total of 20 players at his disposal.

However, Jose Manuel Pinto, worked alone as he is still suffering from some problems in his right elbow.

The team will return for a second session this evening, again in the Mini, at 18.30.

Messi arrives on Sunday

After winning a gold medal at the Beijing Olympics, Leo Messi is expected to return to Barcelona on Sunday morning.
