Iniesta receiving treatment

Andrés Iniesta is working hard to recover from injury at the Joan Gamper sports centre. His aim is to get fit in time to begin preseason training together with the rest of the squad.


Last Friday, as soon as doctors from the Spanish FA diagnosed his right thigh injury, Andrés Iniesta began his recovery process at the Joan Gamper sports centre. At the moment, he is still in the early stages of physio treatment and scans.

Objective - preseason

100609_Entrada_Iniesta_CE2.jpgIniesta will be out for about six to eight weeks and aims to be back in time to join the rest of his team-mates to begin preseason training on 20th July. However, the injury will prevent him from taking part with Spain in the Confederations Cup in South Africa, which starts on14th June.

Piqué nearing the end
Gerard Piqué is also recovering from the injury to his left thigh diagnosed on 1st June. However, he has joined up with the Spain squad for the Confederations Cup and will complete his recovery there.
