27 off to La Coruña

www.fcbarcelona.cat

The whole Barça squad apart from Messi, Alves and Milito, who the coach has given special permission to stay behind, will fly to Galicia for the final game of the season. Six reserve team players also travel.

Like for the last league game in Mallorca, with the title in the bag, Pep Guardiola has decided to take every member of the squad to La Coruña. But he granted special permission for Messi, Alves and Milito to stay behind.

The other 21 players will all go to Riazor, even though five of them, Iniesta, Puyol, Víctor Sánchez, Márquez and Jorquera, cannot play through injury.

Iniesta has taken tests today, and even though he felt fine at the end of the Champions league final, there is still some work to be done before a full recovery can be declared. The Medical Services have been speaking with the Spanish Football Federation in order to put together a series of recommendations for the player over the next few weeks.

Puyol suffered a 2nd degree sprain in his left ankle during the final, and will not be playing against Deportivo.

Six reserves

The list of 27 is completed with Barça Atlètic players. These are Oier, Xavi Torres, Botía, Abraham, Thiago and Jeffren.
