Fans packed the Miniestadi next to the Camp Nou to watch the team beat Manchester United and celebrate the treble.

The spectacle begins

The party started at 7.30 pm with some 2,000 fans waving giant flags and chanting. A special edition of “Barça Camp Nou” was available.

The fans were led from the centre of the pitch in enthusiastic renditions of the Barça anthem and Coldplay’s ‘Viva la vida’. Meanwhile, Barça TV broadcast a special pre-final preview.

Then a complete silence fell over the crowd at kick-off.

Explosion of joy

“Champions, Champions”

As it became clearer that Barça was dominating the final, the fans relaxed a little but continued to support the team. When Messi scored the definitive second goal the fans burst into chants of “Champions, champions”.

The Barça anthem put the finishing touch to the final (and to a wonderful season) and was followed by “We are the champions”.

Celebration in Canaletes
After the match, more than 120,000 Barça fans converged on the Canaletes Fountain in the centre of Barcelona to celebrate, the fourth such event in the past few weeks – after the 2-6 defeat of Real Madrid, after the Cup final, after winning the league and now after winning the Champions League.
