Media spotlight on training

www.fcbarcelona.cat

The squad trained on Thursday afternoon in the Camp Nou. The session was open to the press as part of the UEFA Media Open Day ahead of the Champions League Final.

The Camp Nou had a strong scent of the Champions league today as the stadium was flooded with the world’s media all anxious to see the Champions League finalists. The press call, involving both Manchester United and FC Barcelona, is part of the build up to Wednesday’s final.

The team usually train in the Camp Nou in the days leading up to a match and today was no exception. As usual, manager Josep Guardiola and one of the players – in this case Messi – give a press conference after the session. However, due to the special circumstances today Guardiola missed a fair part of the training session.

All available players

The entire squad reported for duty except for Alves, Henry, Iniesta, Jorquera, Márquez and Milito, who are all injured. Gudjohnsen, who missed training on Wednesday due to a bruised foot, worked separately from the main group.

Muniesa makes his debut

First comes Osasuna
Despite the media focus on the Champions League Final, the players have to prepare for Saturday’s league match against Osasuna. Kick-off is at 9 pm and the stadium is sure to be packed for a celebration of the two titles won so far.
