Off to Lyon with 19 men

Josep Guardiola will be travelling to Lyon with most of his available players. Only the injured Milito, Abidal and Iniesta, as well as Pedro and Jorquera, will remain in Barcelona.
In relation to last Saturday’s squad for the Espanyol game, Pinto, Cáceres and Víctor Sánchez are in, whilst Jorquera and the injured Abidal are out. In total, 19 players will be travelling to Lyon, even though some of them won’t make it to the match squad.
Here is the full list: Valdés, Pinto, Alves, Sylvinho, Puyol, Víctor Sánchez, Cáceres, Piqué, Márquez, Xavi, Sergio Busquets, Gudjohnsen, Keita, Touré Yaya, Hleb, Messi, Eto’o, Bojan and Henry.
Post-match training
All the team players from Saturday’s 1-2 defeat at the hands of Espanyol did post-match training this Sunday morning, whilst the rest of the squad did a full training session.
Five players from Barça Atlètic also participated in the session: Verdés, Nolito, Rayo, Abraham and Maric.
Abidal confirmed to be out for eight weeks
Tests carried out this Sunday morning on Éric Abidal have confirmed that he will be out for eight
weeks. According to the club’s medical staff, he is suffering from a ruptured adductor muscle
on his right leg. So he’ll be unable to play against his former club, and he’ll miss
about 11 games.
