Bojan: “I am improving all the time”

David Puig

Bojan Krkic believes that he is enjoying his best moment of the season after his performance against Real Mallorca in the Copa del Rey in midweek helped the team to victory.

The young striker is being given more and more minutes all the time and in the cup he has become a decisive player in Pep Guardiola’s team. In the game on Thursday in Camp Nou, Bojan put in a complete display that included a superb cross for Thierry Henry to nod home the opening goal. “When you have more minutes you have more confidence,” he said. “I am feeling better every day and things are beginning to feel more normal. I think that I played well against Mallorca as I had chances and had an assist when Henry scored. I am pleased for myself and the team.”

Enjoying the Copa del Rey

“It is most important to win”

But it is vital that we keep winning and to continue progressing in the cups.”

Working with Henry

The move for the first goal against Mallorca was a great example of the understanding between Bojan and Henry. Of the four assists that the youngster has made, three of those have been converted by the Frenchman. “Henry is doing well. He has fitted into the team well and the situation now is very different to how it was last season and that is reflected in his play,” Bojan added.

Piqué and Busquets
Bojan wanted to congratulate Sergio Busquets and Gerard Piqué after the duo were called up to the Spain squad for the friendly against England next week. “I am very pleased for them,” he said. “Everyone has congratulated them in the changing rooms. Five players from Barcelona’s youth system are in the squad and that shows just how good the young players here are.”
