Five outstanding cup players

Edgar Fornós

Thierry Henry, Bojan Krkic, José Manuel Pinto, Sylvinho and Eidur Gudjohnsen all stood out for different reasons when FC Barcelona beat Real Mallorca in the Copa del Rey semi final first leg on Thursday evening in Camp Nou.

The opening goal from Henry meant that Frenchman has now scored in all three competitions this season for the Blaugrana this term. Pep Guardiola started the forward against Mallorca and in the 34th minute he scored his first Copa del Rey goal of the campaign to add to his 12 goals in la Primera and his effort against Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League.

The first came against Atlético de Madrid in week six of the season and eight games later the pair combined to score against Valencia. On Thursday, Bojan picked out Henry with a cross from the right and the forward nodded in the opener.
