Keita doubtful for derby

Marc Guillén / Anna Segura

Seydou Keita limped out of training early with a knee injury on Wednesday and is now considered to be a doubt for the Copa del Rey encounter with Espanyol this week.

The Barça squad took to the pitch in the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper for the penultimate session ahead of the derby encounter in the last 16 of the cup that will take place in Camp Nou on Thursday evening.

Keita injured

Coach Pep Guardiola had 23 players to work with at 11am, but half way through Keita pulled up and had to immediately go back to the changing rooms for treatment after he stated that he had pain in his right knee. The Mali international suffered an injury in the first leg against Espanyol last week.

Márquez progressing

After training on Wednesday, the first team stayed at the training ground complex to have lunch together.
