Alves: "It strengthens you to win like this"

Although he only got back from his Christmas break on Friday, Alves was ready as ever to play and performed well in the second half. The Brazilian said that comebacks like this one against Mallorca are invigorating experiences.

Dani Alves came on after the break and was delighted to have been given that chance after so little time back. "I got some minutes towards the end and I was anxious to play. I was fine after the journey and the coach gave me some time on the pitch" he said.

On the game, Alves said the win against Mallorca “strengthens you … these games are hard to win, but if we do things well we meet our objectives ".

Andrés Iniesta:

"I am happy to have played again and helped the team. I am very pleased with the way it all went ".

"Happy with the reception the people gave me. It gives me goose bumps to remember. It shows you how much the people love you and I’ve returned that on the pitch, which is where I do it".

"It was hard because games are difficult and there is also an opponent to play. The important thing was to come back from holidays and get back into the form we have been having lately".

Eidur Gudjohnsen:
