Milito: ”We are fine for Saturday”

David Puig

Gaby Milito believes the international matches will not affect the team’s performance in Villarreal. He also claimed that certain comments about the internal club code simply are not true.

Gaby Milito is optimistic about the weekend, saying “We are all back together and we are all fine. Most of the internationals have done well for our countries and that’s important because we are in a good mood going into the Villarreal game and very keen to play. They are a good team but I hope that if we can play like we have done in recent games that we will get the three points.”

Internal code

When all the captains are here they will tell us about the internal code.”

Well adapted to the team

Milito added that he his delighted to have settled in so well at his new club, saying “I was excited to come to Barça and wanted to progress quickly. The truth is that I have managed that due to the group’s human and footballing qualities. My colleagues have helped me a lot.”

Solidarity with Riquelme
Milito is concerned about the treatment being received by his international team mate, Villarreal midfielder Juan Román Riquelme, who has not played yet this season. “It is between Riquelme and his club and I am sorry to see what’s happening. For his good and that of football I hope he is happy again as soon as possible and that the fans get to enjoy his football. He is a great player and a basic part of our national team. So it would be better for us if he doesn’t play on Saturday.”
