Belletti out for seven to ten days

Juliano Belletti has been ruled out of action for between seven and ten days after tearing a muscle in this thigh during training.

The Brazilian defender picked up the blow during the squad's first session in Beijing as Frank Rijkaard's players look to adjust to their new surroundings having arrived in China on Friday morning. After a medical examination, which included an echograph, Belletti was diagnosed as having a half-centimetre tear in the femoral bicep of his right leg.

Recuperation period

As the team are on tour, Belletti will begin a specific recovery programme that will last throughout the entire trip around Asia.
