Argentina close group stage

Leo Messi’s Argentina finish off the group stage of the Copa Amèrica in Barquisimelo tonight with a game against Paraguay.
The Paraguayans top the group ahead of Argentina on goal difference so Alfio Basile knows that only a win will do if his team is to finish top and avoid Rafa Marquez’s Mexico in the quarter finals.
Hernán Crespo out
Striker Hernán Crespo definitely misses the game after picking up a knock in the game against USA , but he his fighting hard to get fit for the rest of the tournament. Ayala and Cambiasso are also carrying slight injuries, but look set to play.
USA and Columbia out
In the other game in Argentina’s group, USA and Columbia meet, with both teams already eliminated from the competition, whatever the result.
Messi may sit out the game
With a place in the next round guaranteed, Argentine coach Basile may well choose to rest some of
his top players for the quarter finals and Leo Messi may find himself, like Marquez for
Mexico’s last game, sitting out the match on the bench or watching from the stands.
