“4-1 is the best way to maintain confidence”

Andrés Iniesta stressed the importance of the victory over Valladolid following their poor run of form. The squad praised the contribution of Bojan and the fans.


The rout against Valladolid boosted the morale of the Barça players after their elimination from the cup. Andrés Iniesta had the following to say to the media: “4-1 is the best way to maintain confidence”. The midfielder spoke of the importance of the second goal after the restart. “It was important to start the second half well. Up to the penalty we had been playing quite well, dominating. Afterwards, we got nervous and lost control.”

Iniesta was also full of praise for Bojan, another of the day’s high performers. “It’s very difficult to be at that level at his age and he’s a huge asset.” On the fans, he had this to say: “It’s the team’s responsibility to engage the fans”.
