Unbeaten eight-match away run

Barça are undefeated away from home since losing in the league to Getafe. In an unbeaten run of 8 matches, they’ve won 3 and drawn 5, in the league, Cup and Champions League.


FC Barcelona have built up a three-month unbeaten run of 8 matches away from home. The last defeat was against Getafe on 10th November 2007. That’s 3 wins and 5 draws in the league, Cup and Champions League.

The league

vil-fcb_x5x.jpgSince the defeat in the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, Barça have played 4 away league matches: a draw against Espanyol (1-1), a comfortable win against Valencia, which saw Samuel Eto’o find the net for the first time this season (0-3), another win against Mallorca (0-2) and a draw against Bilbao (1-1).

The road to the semi-finals

In the Spanish Cup, Barça have yet to lose an away leg, dismissing CD Alcoyano 0-3 and obtaining draws against Sevilla (1-1) and Villarreal (0-0).

Champions League

In the same three-month period, Barça achieved a valuable 2-2 draw away to Lyon which guaranteed them first place in Group E of the Champions League.

Now Barça will be looking to extend this unbeaten away record in the upcoming games against Sevilla and Zaragoza in the league and Celtic in the Champions League.
