Edmílson in, Abidal out

José Edmílson has been given the green light to appear against Villarreal on Thursday after overcoming a muscle injury and has been included in Frank Rijkaard's squad.

Frank Rijkaard has named 18 players for the first leg of the Copa del Rey quarter final in El Madrigal. Edmílson is among the list after he was told by club doctors that he was fit again having missed the past two weeks with a knock. One player that is absent from the squad is Éric Abidal who has received a blow to his left foot. The French international defender joins Ronaldinho and Albert Jorquera in the treatment room, while Samuel Eto'o, Ezquerro and Touré Yaya are away at the African Cup of Nations.
