After the game with Sevilla, the Barça players admitted that they had not played a great game, but that they had done what they had to do.

Having qualified for the next round of the cup, the Barça squad were delighted not only with the result but with the general attitude. The excellent defensive display was especially praiseworthy.

Xavi Hernàndez:

“With character and seriousness. We managed to hold the result while knowing time was on our side”.

“It was very tactical game with lots of mutual respect. We tried to hold on to the ball as much as possible. But the important thing in these games is to qualify”.

“The team did a great job in defence and showed they know how to get a job done”.

“The most important thing is to stay in it. It was a do or die game and we're happy because we are in the quarter finals”.

Gianluca Zambrotta:

“Sevilla did play better than Barça but qualifying was what mattered. We were well focused, with the right mentality in a compact defence”.

“We didn’t go forward much, but the result what was important, but we did suffer a bit”.

“I feel fine, I’m confident, and that’s important”.

Bojan Krkic:

“Sevilla played well but we knew how to hold on and create occasions”.

“You always suffer when you try to hold on to a 0-0 draw and there is that fear but we showed that we have a strong team”.

Giovani dos Santos:

“We knew it would be a difficult game but in the end we worked well”.

“They are hard games to cope with because they are good on the counter attack. We have to keep working on these little details”.

“It is good that the team is getting used to suffering because that means we play as a unit”.
