Team pleased with three points

Anna Segura

The Barça players were delighted with the win in Mallorca and know how important the three points will be in keeping their title challenge alive.

After the game the squad was united in believing that the three points were not only important for maintaining the team’s league position, but also for boosting morale ahead of future games. The next is in the cup on Sevilla this coming Wednesday.

Andrés Iniesta:

“It was hard but the team had a magnificent attitude and we got three important points at a time when we can’t afford to make any mistakes”.

“We got three very important points. When you play well you have a better chance of winning but sometimes you have to do other things”.

Gabriel Milito:

“We know there are games like this, and we know that even when we don’t play as we want, we still have to win. The three points were important on the back of a defeat and we needed to recover”.

“It is a hard ground against a good team but we knew we couldn’t drop any points. The team knew how to suffer and that was important”.

“When the team does well, I do well on an individual level too”.

“We have to think of ourselves and win games, that way we can close the gap. I imagine Madrid will drop some points. But the most important thing is for us to win and take things a game at a time”.

José Edmilson:

“The result has helped a lot because of the three points and the motivation for the next games”.

“I feel ready because I have done some good recovery work. I am happy and ready to help the team”.

“Sure, it wasn’t a brilliant game, but in games like this away from home and against Mallorca, the important thing was to get three points”.

Touré Yaya:

“Getting a fifth yellow card was good because it means I can play when I come back from the African Nations Cup”

“It was hard for us against a good team and the pitch was not in good condition”.

Xavi Hernàndez:

“They play it tight at the back and play on the counter attack and the ground was very dry. But the three points were the important thing. We always try to play our game but we couldn’t today, yet still won”.

Samuel Eto'o:

“Those were three points and now we just have to think about our next match”.
