“We need to generate excitement and motivation”

Roger Bogunyà / Jesús Carrillo

A key member of the first team coaching staff, Eusebio Sacristán, has told us that new signings Henry and Touré Yaya will help to create a positive mood around the team.

In an interview with Barça TV and www.fcbarcelona.cat, Eusebio Sacristán gave his views on the Barça scene and, in particular, the signings of Henry and Touré Yaya. He believes they will provide just the boost the club needs: “They’re important incorporations because they have generated a lot of expectation and excitement. We have to renew that positive energy as we did four years ago. We intend it to help us continue this project”.

Henry and Touré Yaya

However, apart from a much needed boost of excitement, Eusebio is impressed by the talent of Henry and Touré: “They’re two great players. One of them, Henry, has a lot of proven experience. The other, Touré Yaya has a great future”.

So much talent a “luxury”

Barça has always been known for the quality of its players. According to Eusebio: “Every season it’s a luxury to be able to enjoy the standard and quality of the players in training. And that’ll be the case with the two new men”.

”The objective is to get the best performances out of all of them and forge them into a team as soon as possible…and turn that into success for Barça”.

Gio and Saviola
Eusebio was also full of praise for Gio and Saviola, the first players to leave the club in the close season: “Both players have given a lot to Barça and have been well liked by the fans, but above all I believe both players have made a deep impression in the dressing room. They’re two fantastic lads who have acted every professionally. I’d like to thank them for their response at all times and I wish them a lot of luck because they deserve it”.
