Touré passes medical

FC Barcelona medical staff have praised the physical condition of Ivory Coast midfielder Touré, who will be officially presented as a Barça player at 1 pm today.

Gnegneri Yaya Touré passed the second part of his medical at the Camp Nou – the first part was in the Hospital de Barcelona on Monday after Thierry Henry - on Tuesday without any problems. First team doctor Ricard Pruna, told us: “He’s been lucky with injuries, he’s healthy and he will perform at a high level”.

No after-effects

Yaya Touré passed all his tests satisfactorily prompting Dr Pruna to comment: “He’s very strong”. The doctors paid special attention to a knee injury he suffered five years ago while playing for Beveren: “We have confirmed that there are no after-effects whatsoever. The injury is totally forgotten”.

Official presentation

After two days of medical tests, Yaya Touré will be officially unveiled as a Barça player in the Paris Room of the Camp Nou at 1 pm today.
