Koeman: "Anything can happen"

Ronald Koeman visited Camp Nou on Wednesday and was in optimistic mood ahead of the final day of the season as he believes that Real Madrid could well stumble against Real Mallorca.

The Barça legend watched training in front of La Masia as part of a visit to the city with his family. The Dutchman that scored the winning goal in the European Cup Final 15 years ago and has just guided PSV to the Dutch championship as coach, analysed the action as the Blaugrana's players were put through their paces in training.

As a member of the Dream Team, Koeman knows all too well about last day wins. He clearly remembers the afternoon that saw Djukic miss that fabled penalty for Deportivo. "The emotion is even greater when it happens so unexpectedly," he said.

"What is more important is to believe in yourself," he continued. "To win your own game first is crucial. Anything can happen this time as Madrid are not unbeatable in Bernabéu and have lost to lesser teams before now."

The loan of the equipment team

Koeman enjoyed his visit and met up with his former colleagues, Eusebio Sacristán and Frank Rijkaard. "Even if the club wants to win everything every season, you cannot ask for much more than has been done," the Dutchman continued, before praising Rijkaard. "With two titles and the Champions League his record at Barcelona is very good." The Wembley hero asked for more respect to be shown to the team as he said: "Looking in from the outside and seeing the players that are here, Barça are still the best team in Europe."
