Following the draw with Espanyol, FC Barcelona are already moving on and thinking about the last and decisive game against Nastic. Deco and Edmilson were the notable absentees from Sunday’s training session.

Deco and Edmilson Absent

Deco missed the session due to picking up a few minor knocks in the game, Edmilson continues to work in the gym. The squad began the session with a warm up 10-06-07_WEB_11.jpgand then moved straight onto ball skills. Frank Rijkaard spoke to Thuram for a while at the beginning, while Valdes, Gio, Eto’o and Zambrotta worked apart from the rest of the squad.

Habitually, those who had played a major part in the previous day’s game, were allowed to leave after having completed specific recovery exercises. The players who remained, continued doing various exercises and some shooting practice.
Looking forward
Eto’o
Samuel Eto’o did all he could this weekend so that a 10 year old child, who suffers from a Terminal illness, was able to meet the Cameroon player. Therefore, today and against Espanyol, he had the chance to be close to the action and he followed Frank Rijkaard’s preparatory session very closely.
