Zambrotta, out of squad

Gianluca Zambrotta has withdrawn from the FC Barcelona squad at the last minute for tonight's encounter with Getafe after suffering a knee injury and will be replaced by Sylvinho.

The Italian international met up with the rest of the players at midday and told club medics that he had pains in his right knee. After being examined it was decided that although the injury was not serious, it would be better that he does not participate in the game. Frank Rijkaard was not prepared to risk the former Juventus defender after speaking to doctors and allowed Zamrbotta to return home, where he was instructed to rest. Sylvinho was called in to the squad for the encounter having originally been omitted.
