Monday, a day for recovery

FC Barcelona will travel to the installations of the Hotel Le Meridien Ra in Vendrell on Monday. Visits to this type of centre have become common practice over recent years and help the team prepare for the final stretch of the league season.

After hosting Athletic Bilbao in the Camp Nou, the Barça squad will arrive at the Hotel Le Meridien Ra in Vendrell at 10am on Monday morning where they will undergo physiotherapy treatment and hydrotherapy from 11am to 13h30. The day will help the players overcome the physical strain caused by recent games and also help them prepare for the games ahead. Once the session is over, the squad will have breakfast at the centre before returning to the Catalan capital.

Normal training sessions will resume on Tuesday morning, prior to departure for Zaragoza where Barça play the second leg of the cup quarter final in the Copa del Rey.

A regular practice

It is not the first time that Barça have visited a centre like the Hotel Le Meridien Ra. Just over a year ago, Frank Rikjaard’s team spent a day at the Sport and Wellness Centre Accura in Gavà and it seems the experience was positive as a few months later the team were proclaimed league and European champions. Two seasons ago Barça also visited the Hotel Le Meridien Ra in February prior to winning the league title.
