The facilities

After the first year of work, more than 200 children are now training at La Candela, in the Argentinian town of San Justo.

The chosen site was used decades ago by Club Boca Juniors and is known as La Candela, and has top quality facilities in the town of San Justo, in the Province of Buenos Aires. The eight hectares include all the right facilities: gymnasium, utility room, changing rooms, football pitches in excellent condition and a restaurant.

CEFAR2.jpgIt also has accommodation for up to 60 players, where today 40 youngsters from large and small towns and cities in inland Argentina reside.

San Justo is just half an hour outside of the city of Buenos Aires, and there are fast transport connections from various points. The eight hectare site is ideal for football training and offers the following characteristics.

Spaces:

• Independent utility area
• Four professionally sewn grass pitches.
• A 30 m x 18 m sand pitch.
• A 50 m x 30 m artificial pitch.
• An 800 metre athletics track.
• A 50 metre sand track.
• Two 25º and 35º slopes for fitness.
• A 40 m x 30 m area for downsized football exercises.
• An enclosed ‘frontón’ court for individual skills on sand.
• An enclosed cage for goalkeeping practice
• A sand box for goalkeeping practice.
• Four changing rooms with five bathing pools.
• Fully equipped gymnasium.
• Fully equipped isokinetic gymnasium.
• Personal laundry after training and matches.
Fully equipped onsite medical rooms.
