Champions of the River Cup

FC Barcelona Juniors Luján (FCBJL) were crowned champions in all the categories in which they competed in the IV edition of the River Cup. Teams from around Argentina and the rest of America took part in the tournament.

The competition was held from 27th to 31st July on auxiliary pitches of Club Atlético River Plate, adjacent to the Estadio Monumental, in the Nuñez district of Buenos Aires. The tournament was organised by the ‘Angel Amadeo Labruna’ football school.

The players of FCBJL performed at a high standard and won all their matches. In addition, Matías Gutiérrez (Cat. 94) and Arévalo (Cat. 97) won the trophy for the tournament’s top scorer. The teams were divided by zones and the first in each zone played a final on the last day.
