Laporta: “It’s a triumph for everyone”

Club president Joan Laporta is delighted by the collective success of winning the Kings Cup. He told us: “It’s a triumph for everyone”.

Just after landing at Barcelona airport, Joan Laporta told www.fcbarcelona.cat of the importance of winning the 25th Cup in the Club’s history: “It’s a triumph for everyone and I trust it will be an important step forward to uniting the Barça family. I’ll carry on doing everything necessary to achieve the unity and stability the Club needs”.

Humility for league and Champions League

“We are harvesting the first fruits of the work done this season and it’s normal that people celebrate but we have to keep on doing our job with the necessary humility not to lose sight of our next objectives, the league and the Champions League”.

Our own style

Joan Laporta was also very pleased about the way the team had played: “We showed our genuine footballing style, a style of our own which everyone connected to Barça can be very proud of”.

Joan Laporta was also asked just how good he thinks the team is: “Other people will put the adjectives but to be regarded as the best team in the world you have to have a longer run and finish it off with trophies. We’ve already got one and now we’re looking forward to more”.
