Convincing win (7-1)

Barça Sorli Discau beat Sather Blanes by a convincing 7-1 margin to bounce back from the defeat to Igualada and the draw with Girona with a dominant performance at the Palau.

There was a warm welcome for ex-Barça men Lluís Teixidó and Blanes coach Ramon Benito on their return to the Palau and the icing on the cake was provided by coach Marti Riverola’s news that he’d become a father just minutes before the game began.

Rout starts early

Alberto Borregán started the rout on two minutes as Barça came out well organised at the back and playing at a great pace. Panadero hit the post and then Reinaldo García made it 2-0 after just five minutes. Adroher and Cachi Páez, who rounded off a quick counter, made it four at the break and virtually sealed the win.

Crowd pleasers

With the game against Seville following the match, there was plenty of atmosphere at the Palau and the team rewarded the fans with more goals in the second half as Panadero made it five on 29 minutes and then Torra grabbed a brace before Jordi Gabarra, a first year junior, came on and nearly scored before Armengol scored a consolation for Blanes with just six seconds on the clock.
