No hangover (10-2)

Sònia de Alba

Barça Sorli Discau thumped Voltregà with the same stylish hockey that they showed in the Copa del Rey in Blanes. It took five minutes to open the scoring, but from then on it was one-way traffic.

2011-03-05_HOCKEY_15.JPGDavid Páez was missing through gastroenteritis in a game where Barça Sorli Discau steamrolled the opposition, who welcomed the Copa del Rey champions onto the court with a guard of honour. Voltregà, the side who held Barça Sorli Discau to a surprise 4-4 draw earlier on this season, were no match for them this time.

Five in first half

Reinaldo García missed a third minute penalty, but that would be soon forgotten as Panadero opened the scoring with a great shot, and in the blink of an eye Borregán had made it two. The third was a curious goal in which Reinaldo García failed to connect with an shot but as a defender crashed into him, the ball continued rolling into the goal without anybody actually touching it.

Goal four was skilfully flicked and struck by Torra, and there was still time for Mia Ordeig to add a fifth before the break.

And five in the second

2011-03-05_HOCKEY_13.JPGVoltregà at least got some consolation when Carles Rodríguez made it 5-1, but Borregán immediately responded with a sixth before Juli Anguita pulled another one back for the visitors. And just like before Borregán replied at the other end to complete his hat-trick.

Adroher was the next to get on the scoresheet from a free hit, then junior player Xavi Barroso was given some time on court and even produced an assist, finished off by Carlos López, who was the same man who scored goal number ten a couple of minutes later.
