Three goals and three points (0-3)

Barça Sorli Discau has beaten Vilanova l’Ull Blau by 0-3. Mia Ordeig and Borregán, scoring two, got the goals in the eighth league tie of the season.

The hockey first team has won a hard fought victory against Vilanova. Although the goals didn’t arrive till the second half, the Blaugranas were on top during the key moments of the game.

Ball control

Different to the last game in the Palua against Proinosa Igualada, both teams began calmly, controlling the ball and looking for possible counter-attacks.

The fastest attacks were repelled in both goalmouths. David Arellano kept out shots from Alberto Borregán, David Páez and Mia Ordeig. At the other end, Egurrola was also solid, including when he saved from Roger Rocasalbas despite the Vilanova supporters being sure they had scored.

Reactivation

From then on, both teams upped the ante, and after Vilanova trainer Josep Lluís Del Riu called time-out, changes were made to both teams and clearer chances were created.

Carlos López had a solo effort, as well as a one-two with David Paéz, but Arellano kept Barça’s first goal at bay.
The home side was also frustrated in their efforts, and it was still 0-0 at half-time.

Barça change gear

Just two minutes after the start of the second half, Barça Sorli Discau made it 0-1 when Mia Ordeig scored from a David Paéz cross. Ordeig had spent the previous two games out of the side through an ankle injury.

More intensity

From then on, Vilanova tried to turn on the pressure, with the help of the home fans, but to no avail. Julivert and Boira created a dangerous move, and then Sergi Panadero made a good long-shot, but Arellano blocked it.

It was down to team captain Alberto Borregán to sentence the match, getting two goals inside a minute. First he took Arellano by surprise in the 44th minute to make it 0-2, then bouncing the ball past the keeper to make it 0-3 just a minute later. With only five minutes left, it was clear Barça would take three points from Les Casernes.
