Barça stay on top (3-1)

Sònia de Alba

Barça Sorli Discau stayed in first place in the OK Liga after beating Vilanova with goals from Mia Ordeig, Miquel Masoliver and Sergi Panadero.

The Blaugrana moved on to 54 points after the 23rd game of the domestic season after making a bright start to a game that saw both teams look to test each other to see what kind of encounter it was going to be.

Taking the lead

As the hosts' dominance grew, an opening was always on the cards and in the 19th minute a shot from Ordeig flew past David Arellano in the Vilanova goal to give Barça the lead.

Exciting times

Vilanova coach Josep Lluís Del Riu had some stern words with his players at the break and that saw them make a spririted comeback and they were able to reduce the arrears in the 35th minute when Roger Rocasalbas netted and it looked to have set up an exciting finish.

Barça Sorli Discau are back in OK Liga action on February 21 against Alnimar Reus Deportiu, but before that they have a European encounter against Roncato Patí Vic.
