Daniel Sarmiento has signed for FC Barcelona Borges for the next four seasons. The handball side coached by Xavi Pascual has incorporated an excellent middle back at the top of his game.

Barça Borges has recruited the first reinforcement for next season in the person of Daniel Sarmiento, who has signed for the Club for the next four seasons. The 25 year old Canary Island star has been with Ademar León for the last two seasons and has joined the Club to strengthen the middle back position also occupied by Joachim Boldsen.

“A middle back of the old school”

Frame_Sarmiento.jpgAccording to Technical Secretary Enric Masip, Sarmiento is a classic middle back, not seen at the Club since Norwegian Glenn Solberg: “He’s the kind of middle back that Barça hasn’t had for years and he makes others play very well. We took the opportunity of signing a player who is an experienced international in order to have a middle back of the old school”.
