Last gasp equalizer (2-2)

A goal from Jeffren in the 93rd minute gave Barça B a richly deserved point and avoided defeat against one of their direct rivals Valencia B.

Barça B have taken a point that could turn out to be vital at the end of the season in their fight to avoid the drop. With the scoreboard at 1-2 with just seconds remaining, it looked like an inevitable but undeserved defeat for the Club’s second string team, until Jeffren appeared to make it 2-2. In fact, Valencia B – who lead Barça B by just one point in the league table – missed a golden opportunity to take a 1-3 lead in the closing minutes.

Possession but no goal

Right from the kick-off, Barça B were looking for a win and enjoyed a number of clear chances – the best being for Giovanni in the 25th minute. Barça B – coached by Quique Costas - were dominating possession but it was Valencia B who took the lead in the 32nd minute thanks to a goal from Guerra. The halftime whistle came with Barça unable to capitalise on their possession.

Barça B fight back

After the break, Barça B had fewer chances but were sharper in front of goal. Giovanni made it 1-1 midway through the second half only for Guerra to restore Valencia B’s lead just ten minutes later (1-2).

A draw snatched from defeat

In the 92nd minute, Guerra had a clear chance to complete his hat trick and put the match beyond Barça B but his shot was too weak. In the very next move, Jeffren finished off a good move down the right by Bojan to make the final score 2-2.
