The agreement between FC Barcelona and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has echoed around the world. Coinciding with World Polio Day on October 24th one of the large screens on Times Square New York showed an image of the presentation of the deal between the two entities aimed at eliminating the remaining 1% of polio which has not yet been erased.

Teaming up to beat Polio

The photo shows Bill Gates, Sandro Rosell and Pep Guardiola with a Barça shirt and the slogan ‘End Polio’ and featured on one of the screens dedicated to PR Newswire and carried the title: “FC Barcelona and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation make a great team to fight Polio”.

To strengthen the commitment of fighting against Polio, a video featuring Bill Gates, Sandro Rosell and Pep Guardiola was released last week to raise awareness of the problem.
