The Fundació and UNHCR working together again

La Fundació has joined in the latest UNHCR initiative to help refugees, with a shirt signed by all the players, which will be part of the biggest ever shirt for the South African World Cup next year.

Gabriel Milito presented the shirt to Bjorn Heidenstrom who has been cycling around Europe to collect the shirts from various big clubs, which will be put together to create a massive shirt at the World Cup finals next year.

FIFA and UEFA have also contributed to the project with signed shirts from their Presidents Joseph Blatter and Michel Platini.

“Barca inspired me to start this”

The Norwegian, a 41 year old ex-marketing man, who has already visited clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United explained: “the work that Barca and UNICEF have done inspired me to carry out this project. This is more than a club and with the help they are giving to refugees, the players are becoming more than players too”.
