Investiture ceremony in the Masia

The formal investiture of the new Board of Directors will take place at midday on Thursday in the gardens of the Masia youth academy. The outgoing and incoming boards will meet beforehand in the offices of the Club.

The investiture ceremony is scheduled for 12.00 Thursday in the Masia, Barca’s youth academy next to the Camp Nou.

It is a setting charged with symbolism. It has been the home from home for young sportspeople since 1979 and the building itself, a former farmhouse, is closely linked to the values of the Club. It is also the heart and soul of youth football and recognized around the world.

Prior meeting

At about 11.30, the outgoing board, headed by Joan Laporta, and the newly elected board, led by new president Sandro Rosell, will meet in the Club’s offices to complete the handover.

Speeches, lunch and first meeting

At 12.00, Joan Laporta, who has given an interview to Barca TV, will give his last speech as president. This will be followed by an explanation by outgoing director Josep Cubells of the agreements reached between the two boards. Finally, the new president will make his first address.

The new board will then have lunch together before holding their first official meeting at 4 pm in the Club’s offices.
