Barça and UNCHR support Refugee Day

www.fcbarcelona.cat

FC Barcelona and UNHCR (the United Nations Refugee Agency) have lent their support to World Refugee Day by launching a video of support starring basketball stars Roger Grimau and Boniface Ndong.

World Refugee Day is celebrated on June 20 and Barça's Fundació and the UNHCR are keen to do what they can to help the 43 million refugees and misplaced people around the world. The day is in aid of those thousands of people that have fled violence or have lost everything and been forced to move their home and their family away from their roots.

Barça plan to use the video to reaffirm their commitment to aiding the most vulnerable people. With the motto 'Join with us' the film shows Grimau and Ndong inviting people to join the cause.

Rwanda visit

In Rwanda the Fundació generates activities to help income, education and sport for around 32,000 refugees that live in three fields having arrived from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
