FC Barcelona's 118,665 members will be able to vote on Sunday for the 39th president as Agustí Benedito, Jaume Ferrer, Marc Ingla and Sandro Rosell go head-to-head in the ballot box.


Almost two years after the motion of censure, the supporters have been summoned to decide on the Blaugrana leadership once more and this time it is for a new leader. Benedito presented 2,520 signatures, Ferrer secured 3,935, Ingla had 4,288 and Rosell managed 12,635 to all be eligible for the election.

Record turn-out

It will be the seventh time that democratic elections have been held to find the president of FC Barcelona, but it will be only the third time that the voting has taken place inside Camp Nou. The last time a new supremo was installed was in 2003 when Laporta won and a record 51,618 voters turned out.

_DSC8534.jpgEach of the 118,665 members wanting to vote must all fall under the following conditions: They must be adult and must have been members for at least one year and also not have a suspension against their names while agreeing to the Electoral Role in accordance with Article 41 of the club's statutes.

The census is made up of 78 per cent men and 22 per cent women. The age category most represented is between 18 and 30 (37 per cent) while 46 to 65 is next with 33 per cent, 31 to 45 is ten per cent and over 65 is 19 per cent.

The majority of eligible voters come from the city of Barcelona (42 per cent) but just behind is another 39 per cent hailing from the province of Barcelona. A further eight per cent come from the rest of Catalunya, nine per cent from Spain outside of Catalunya and four per cent are abroad.

Times and tables

ELECCIONS1.jpegIn order to vote members have to go to Camp Nou. The polls will be open between 09:00 and 21:00 on Sunday and there will be 120 tables. They will be situated in the Gol Sud, Lateral and Gol Nord areas of the stadium. Members will be divided into sections by alphabetical order of their surname.

Day of activities

Between 09:00 and 21:00 fans will be able to enjoy a day of festivities and celebration.

Parking information
Parking is available in the stadium complex for members and is underground and that can be accessed from Avinguda Joan XIII and from Avinguda Gregorio Marañon through gates 8a and 8d.

The university car park will also be open where coaches park on matchdays next to the Parc de la Bederria and can be accessed from Carrer Martí i Franqués) from the lateral of the Diagonal go down Carrer Joan XXIII.
