Guardiola says thanks on Facebook

Josep Guardiola thanked all the people who sent him their best wishes on his 39th birthday yesterday via Facebook.

Barca’s official Facebook page (www.facebook.com/fcbarcelona) called on the fans to wish the boss a happy birthday yesterday and by 16.00 this Tuesday an astonishing 14, 000 fans had either indicated they like the news (10,000) or actually sent a birthday message to Guardiola(4,000)

Guardiola sent a message of thanks to the fans this morning: “I’ve really moved and surprised to see so many best wishes. Thank you so much to everybody”.

Barca’s Facebpook page has proved to be a great success and with 1.200.000 fans is the most popular of all the Spanish teams. It’s not just popular in Spain either, with Istanbul the city with most fans behind Barcelona and Madrid.
