Successful centenary celebrations

In 1997 he was named General Secretary of the club and was thus in charge of organising the club’s centenary celebrations, which went ahead so successfully. In 2000, he was named assistant general manager, a post he held until 2003, when he left FC Barcelona, and where he was in charge of the Area of Communication, Protocol and Public Relations. He went on to work as manager of institutional relations at La Caixa.

During his esteemed career at the club he worked especially closely with the Barça Supporters Clubs, managing and coordinating, among other things, the clubs institutional representation at events organised by those groups.

His efficacy and professionalism made him a widely respected figure in the football world. He was FC Barcelona member number 29.451.
