Gamper and Assembly on August 19

FC Barcelona's board of directors agreed at a meeting on Thursday that the Trofeo Joan Gamper and the Delegates' Assembly will both be held on August 19.

Initially, there was an idea put forward to hold the Trofeo Joan Gamper Estrella Damm match a day earlier, on August 18, but the new arrangement means that the encounter will now fall exactly in the middle of the Spanish Super Cup matches against Athletic Club, while will played on August 16 in Camp Nou and August 23 in San Mamés.

Pre-season complete

With the confirmation of these dates, the pre-season calendar is now complete for FC Barcelona and the team will play a total of six friendlies with two in the Wembley Cup, three in the United States and the Gamper. There will also be three official matches with the two-legged Spanish Super Cup and the European Super Cup.

Financial speak

The Trofeo Joan Gamper will now coincide with the Delegates' Assembley which will be held in the Palau Blaugrana. The approval of the accounts for nexty season and the budget for 2009/10 will be presented.
