Rummenigge and Laporta: good relations

FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta and Bayern Munich’s Karl-Heinz Rummenigge are both featured in Wednesday edition of 'Sport Bild'.

The day after Barça secured a place in the CL semi-finals at the expense of Bayern Munich in the Allianz Arena, the German sports paper ‘Sport Bild' has published a conversation between the Bayern vice-president and Joan Laporta.

Meeting in Barcelona

The meeting took place in Barcelona at the Hotel Majestic when Bayern came here for the first leg of the quarterfinals. Laporta and Rummenigge have a close relationship fruit of their joint work in the European Clubs Association (ECA).

In the interview, Joan Laporta takes the opportunity to praise the Bayern business model: “I believe in the Bayern system. The club is a real institution in Europe thanks above all to the people that work there. Bayern is an example for Barça. But in any case we are very similar. They are the Bavarians in Germany and we are the Catalans in Spain”.
