Celtic helping great support

www.fcbarcelona.cat

Celtic want to demonstrate how public spirited their supporters are when they travel to Barcelona for the second leg of the Champions League tie next Tuesday. Among other things, the Scottish club will give out bags to keep the city clean.

The fans of the Glasgow club wil travel en masse to the Ciutat Contal to see their team play in Camp Nou. For that reason, the city hall along with the two clubs will carry out a series of projects to help endear the two sets of supporters to each other and make the whole event into a thoroughly enjoyable few days for all involved.

Positive attitude

On the Scottish club's official website, chief executive Peter Lawwell, emphasised that the Catalan capital is a special place for all Celtic fans. "We are looking forward to this trip to one of Europe's best cities," he said. "I want to thank the people of Barcelona in advance for their hospitality."

The Celtic director also underlined that their supporters continue to have the values that saw them given a Fair Play trophy for their good behaviour in recent seasons. "Once again, our fans will travel to Barcelona looking to enjoy themselves in the great city and to watch the game and also to represent Celtic with a positive attitude and friendly spirit."

Meeting Point

All the travelling supporters will be able to take advantage of the Celtic Meeting Point, a place where they can find entertainment and information leading up to the game. The meeting point will be located next to Building 7 of the Fira de Barcelona.
