Joan Creus, one year more

Regal Barça technical secretary, Joan Creus, has signed for one more year with the club. His contract was set to expire at the end of the season, but he will be staying with us until 2011.
Joan Creus has added one more year to his association with the Barça basketball section. In the company of President Joan Laporta and the director responsible for the section, Josep Cubells, Creus has signed an extended contract.
Thanks to the Board
Creus said with satisfaction “I appreciate the confidence the
Board of Directors has shown in me. I feel comfortable at this club, I am keen to work and to take
this project forwards.”
Joan Creus took over his role at the end of the 2007/2008 season, one of his prime objectives being to bring top Catalan players to the club, which could help raise the expectation level at the Palau, with Xavi Pascual as head coach.

Cubells, satisfied with renewal
The director in charge of the section, Josep Cubells has expressed his satisfaction to see Creus
stay for longer. “All Barça fans should be pleased with this renewal. This is an exciting
project and I hope that things can grow over the course of the season”, stated Cubells.
