Ricky Rubio signs for six seasons

The point guard has signed for Regal FC Barcelona for the next 6 seasons. Ricky Rubio has a clause in his contract which allows him to leave for the NBA from the second year. Barça have paid around 3.5 million euros to DKV Joventut.

The current ACB champions have number five NBA draft pick on the way – an extraordinary talent that will prove a valuable addition to the Regal FC Barcelona roster. After much negotiation, Ricky Rubio is now officially an FC Barcelona player, and has signed for the next six seasons, although the club has agreed to his release to the NBA, if required, from the second of those seasons.

Pascual’s side has secured the most sought after player of 2009/10 after paying around 3.5 million euros to DKV Joventut.
