Morris: “Barça’s style of play is good for me”

Carles Cascante

Terence Morris is Regal Barça’s second signing for the 2009/10 season. The American power forward is especially motivated because he thinks the way Barça play will suit his game.

The former CSKA Moscow player signed for the next four seasons this afternoon and says that Barça is his big chance “to win a major title”. So far the American has been playing in minor leagues such as those in Russia and Israel though he combined that with Euroleague action. Now with Barça and in the ACB, he hopes to be able to show off his talent once more. The player passed his medical this morning and signed his contract accompanied by Board secretary and basketball chief Josep Cubells and Regal Barça Technical Secretary Joan Creus.

Ideal style of play

He also thinks its style of play will suit him: “So far everything’s gone well. I know the players and the team reached the Final Four. I know they are team players and truth be told I wanted to make a change this summer, I like the way Barça play and it’ll suit me down to the ground.”

Teammates

He knows that his teammates will help him to adapt: “The team has athletic players who can score a lot. There are also younger guys who I don’t know so well. Barça’s great at the transition game and that should help me score a lot of points. That’s my style of basketball.”

Great ambition
Terence Morris wants to win. That is the main reason why he has signed for Barça: “I think it’s a good opportunity for me to become a champion. This year if all the pieces fit together we can build a great team.”
