Barça make Ndong offer

Regal Barça presented an offer for Boniface Ndong on Thursday at the headquarters of the Liga ACB and Unicaja Málaga now have ten days to match it.


Having recently secured the services of Pete Mickael, the Blaugrana have now made a bid to sign the Senegalese guard from the Andalucian outfit. The offer, that remains undisclosed, was submitted to the league and only Barça and Unicaja know what it was.

10 days to respond

Now the Málaga-based outfit have ten calendar days, until July 18, to match the offer. On Wednesday, the Liga ACB released the list of players that could be approached Ndong's name was on it.

Ndong: two years Spain

The 31-year-old made his debut in Spanish basketball in May 2007 with Unicaja and has gone on to make 79 appearances for them. Before he enjoyed spells with Saint Petersburg outfit Spartak after having played with the LA Clippers in the NBA and various German sides.

Palau performance

In the Liga ACB Play-Offs last term, Ndong stood out for Unicaja as he looked tp out the hosts under pressure in the Palau Blaugrana and scored vital points in the third period only to see his side lose.

What is the right of first refusal?
The right of first refusal is a rule that permits club to sign players whose contracts are expiring. All the players that are of non-European status can be subject to this when their deals are set to run out.
