Andre Barrett to leave Barça

Regal FC Barcelona and Andre Barrett have put an end to their contractual relationship. Barça have thanked him for all he has done at the club and wished him all the best for the future.
Barça and Andre Barrett have decided to terminate the North
American’s contract. Barrett joined the basketball first team in August 2008 for two seasons,
but the club have decided to break the contract, and have informed the point guard of that.
FC Barcelona have been impressed by the New Yorker’s dedication and professionalism, and now can only wish him all the best for the future.
Failure to deliver
Although coming to Barça from the NBA (he was at the Los Angeles Clippers after playing in the
Development League with San Antonio Spurs), Andre Barrett has failed to find the best of his game
at Barcelona. His stats have been discrete. In the ACB he played in 26 of 34 possible regular
season games. He provided 76 points and 35 assists. In the play-offs he only got one appearance. He
averaged 11 minutes and 3 points a game.
In the Euroleague he played 14 games, averaging 3.6 points.
